The Ministry of Labor revised and issued the "Rules of the Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training" on July 7, 2021. It is stipulated that operators of mobile elevating work platforms should receive 16 hours of special operation safety and health training. This rules will be implemented since July 7, 2022 to enhance the professional competence of operators for mobile elevating work platforms.
The operators training for mobile elevating work platforms is divided into 8 hours each of subject training and technical practice. In order to facilitate the relevant training bodies to handle this training according to the rules, the Ministry of Labor has completed the "Technical practice specification for operators of mobile elevating work platforms" and compiled the "Operators training subject materials for safety and health concerning special operation of mobile elevating work platforms." The Ministry has trained more than 100 qualified technicians (including disciplines) seed lecturers and completed other supporting measures. From now on, training bodies could plan and build practice venues according to the rules.
The Ministry of Labor urges the training bodies to perform the preparation of the training, so as to facilitate the operators of mobile elevating work platforms in the enterprise to complete the training and ensure the safety of their work.
