  • Last Modify Date:2020-06-19

In accordance with the Freedom of Government Information Law, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the Ministry of Labor has set up the Occupational Safety and Health/ Major Occupational Disaster Search Website (occupational disaster map) to disclose well-managed cases and major occupational disaster cases. The public can check more than 500 major occupational disaster cases and about 141 well-managed cases of occupational safety and health by simply entering the name or keyword of the business unit through the search function on the web page, and understand the occupational disaster information of the relevant business units to analyze the effectiveness of plant safety management. It allows the public to supervise and urge business owners to pay attention to workplace safety.

The website displays the information in text, and it also displays the cases of new construction projects, public business, or public use that should be disclosed according to the regulations through visual maps so that the public can easily search for and use (URL: https: //pacs.osha .gov.tw). The public can also instantly understand the situation of occupational disasters around their living areas by using a mobile phone, tablet, and other mobile devices to open the web page and mark the information of the county and city. There are currently about 150,000 inquiries, showing that the public really cares about industrial safety cases.

Tzu-Lien, Tsou, director of OSHA, said that labor inspectorates urge institutions to strengthen safety and health management in the workplace through inspection, advocacy, and counseling, as well as using a variety of tools to strengthen the self-management of safety and health in business units. As a result, the website was created to disclose the outstanding cases of occupational safety and health management, including awarded cases for national occupational safety and health awards, five-star awards of outstanding units, public construction gold safety awards, outstanding performance of occupational safety and health management system and other award-winning cases, so as to urge business units to be socially responsible and be better regarding safety and health management, striving for honors recognized by the community.

The OSHA urges all business units to make good use of the Internet and the trend of openness and transparency of information to actively enhance the intrinsic safety of the business, show their determination to improve work safety, and take care of the safety of workers. Let’s supervise the work together.
