2021 Annual Seminar on Explosion Protection and Industrial Safety

Explosions may occur in workplaces in which flammable gases, vapors or combustible dusts present due to the lack of explosion-protected electrical equipment (Ex equipment) and proper protective measures, causing devastating damages, accidents, injuries and death. Ex equipment tested and certified in compliance with safety standards shall be used to prevent explosions to ensure labor safety. To enhance occupational safety environment, workers safety and facilitate global economic development, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Taiwan Explosion Protection Equipment Association (TExA) and Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) co-host “2021 Annual Seminar on Explosion Protection and Industrial Safety” that took place on October 6 and 7, 2021 at the conference room 102 of Taipei International Convention Center. This year the seminar invited experts in the field of explosion safety from South Korea, Poland and UK certification bodies with participation of local industries total 468 participants to exchange technical discussion and safety practices in regard to explosion safety. This seminar prompted opportunities for global communication and possible cooperation while enhancing certification capabilities for Taiwan local certification bodies.
