Taiwan-UK cooperation

OSHA signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK's HSE to promote workplace safety and health:

On June 10, 2019, Director General Tzu-Lien Tzou of OSHA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning information exchange and cooperation on workplace health and safety with Dr. David Snowball, Acting Chief Executive of the Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain, in his London HSE office, to establish a partnership.

 

OSHA co-hosted “the 1st Taiwan OSHA – HSE (UK) Occupational Safety and Health Summit” with UK's HSE, and signed the cooperation confirmation to further deepen the bilateral partnership:

On September 24, 2020, to promote Taiwan-UK cooperation, OSHA co-hosted “the 1st Taiwan OSHA – HSE (UK) Occupational Safety and Health Summit” with the Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain (UK's HSE) and shared occupational safety & health information and related strategies promotion via webinar. At the Summit, OSHA Director General Tzu-Lien Tzou signed the cooperation confirmation with Sarah Albon, Chief Executive of HSE and announced future cooperation projects to deepen the bilateral partnership between Taiwan OSHA & UK's HSE.

 

The representative from British Office Taipei visited OSHA:

Andrew Pittam, the Acting Representative of British Office Taipei, was invited to attend “the 1st Taiwan OSHA – HSE (UK) Occupational Safety and Health Summit” jointly organized and held by Taiwan OSHA and the Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain (hereinafter referred to as HSE) on September 24, 2020. During the summit, he fully recognized the signing of the Cooperation Confirmation between the two competent authorities. On December 16, 2020, Mr. Pittam led Richard Burch, the Offshore Wind Lead – APAC, Karen Su, the Senior Commercial Officer of Environment and Energy Infrastructure, and other relevant staff to visit Taiwan OSHA. On this visit, both of the competent authorities made further exchanges to understand the follow-up cooperation plans between Taiwan OSHA and HSE.
